• various forms of child maltreatment, including physical abuse, fabricated and induced illness, emotional and sexual abuse, neglect, child trafficking, FGM, and radicalization, along with their prevalence and impact.

• It examines the influence of parental, family, and carer factors such as domestic abuse, mental and physical ill-health, and substance and alcohol misuse.

• Guidance is provided on what to do if there are concerns about child maltreatment, including local policies, procedures, and the referral process.

• The importance of sharing information and the consequences of failing to do so are emphasized.

• It addresses actions to take if concerns are not being taken seriously or if there are barriers to referring a child or family.

• Risks associated with the internet and online social networking are discussed.

• The meaning of the term ‘Looked after child’ is explained.

• The course helps in recognizing possible signs of child maltreatment related to the healthcare worker's role.

• It builds the ability to seek appropriate advice, report concerns, and feel confident that those concerns have been heard.

Assessment will be observational and a multiple choice question paper.

Once payment has been made a link to the training  will be sent to the purchasing party. 

Training will run from 9.30AM to 4.00PM. Make sure to get there 15 minutes earlier.
