• Recognizing Cardiac Arrest: Identifying cardiac arrest quickly is crucial as it triggers the emergency response. Look for signs in any unresponsive person with no or abnormal breathing.

• Emergency Instructions: When you call for an ambulance, the call handler will guide you through confirming cardiac arrest, starting compression-only CPR, and using an AED.

• Immediate Action: Start chest compressions as soon as you confirm cardiac arrest to increase the chances of survival.

• Fetching an AED: Send someone to get an AED right away. You can use resources like the British Heart Foundation’s database, "The Circuit," to find the nearest AED.

• Using the Recovery Position: Use the recovery position only if the person is conscious but not fully responsive, and doesn’t need CPR.

Assessment will be observational and a multiple choice question paper.

Training will run from 9.30AM to 1.00PM. Make sure to get there 15 minutes earlier.
